'DRAGONLANCE' SOUNDTRACK MAKES FIRST GRAMMY BALLOT!:
The soundtrack of Karl's score for 'Dragonlance: Dragons of Autumn Twilight' has made the first ballot for the Grammys! It is up for a nomination in three categories... Best Score Soundtrack, Best Song for 'Qualinesti Hymn', and Best Engineered Album Non-Classical. Check out the sneak preview links below and the 'Listen' section of this site to hear some of the music!
'AUDIE & THE WOLF':
Karl just finished scoring the hilarious horror / romantic comedy 'AUDIE & THE WOLF'. The highlight for Karl on this score, was getting to work with his guitar hero John Sykes (Whitesnake, Thin Lizzy), who played on the main title! Some of the music from Karl's vintage rock operatic score can be heard in the 'Listen' section of this site. Stay posted for info on a release!
'DRAGONLANCE' SOUNDTRACK RELEASED!:

MARC YU PERFORMING KARL'S 'SUDOKU' ON NBC'S 'THE ELLEN DEGENERES SHOW' NOW ONLINE:
Karl's concert piece for piano 'Sudoku' was performed live on NBC's 'The Ellen Degeneres Show' by 8 year old piano prodigy Marc Yu. The performance is now viewable on the 'Ellen' website...

KARL'S 'SUDOKU' TO BE PERFORMED ON NBC'S 'THE ELLEN DEGENERES SHOW':
Karl's concert piece for piano 'Sudoku' will be performed live on NBC's 'The Ellen Degeneres Show' by 8 year old piano prodigy Marc Yu. The episode will air on Monday, January, 29th. 'Sudoku' was composed specifically for Marc... his love of the number based Sudoku puzzles inspired Karl to come up with a way of composing themes and harmonies based entirely on the nine number grid of the finished puzzle. Karl is very excited about having one of his concert pieces performed in front of such a large audience... especially by such an awe-inspiring young talent as Marc. Set your Tivos!

DRAGONLANCE: DRAGONS OF AUTUMN TWILIGHT:
 Karl is currently scoring the long awaited film version of the very popular fantasy book series. The animated film stars Kiefer Sutherland, Michael Rosenbaum, Lucy Lawless, and Michelle Trachtenberg. It is directed by Will Meugniot and produced by Steve Stabler, Cindi Rice, John Frank Rosenblum and Arthur Cohen.

 SONGBIRD:
Karl is pleased to announce that the film 'Songbird', which he scored last spring, has been accepted for competition at the upcoming Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. Directed by talented young filmmaker John Thompson, 'Songbird' is a truly groundbreaking film. Karl's unique 'gypsy-esque' score features the amazingly talented violinist Jim Sitterly. SEED OF CONTENTION:
Karl will be scoring the upcoming WWII feature drama 'Seed of Contention', which is written and directed by Ana Marie Laperal and stars Leonor Varela ('Blade II', 'The Tailor of Panama', 'The Man in the Iron Mask') and Matthew Settle ('Band of Brothers', 'U-571', 'Rules of Attraction'). The film is currently shooting in the Phillippines.
DAYDREAM BELIEVER:
Karl recently completed the score for the romantic comedy 'Daydream Believer', which stars Chris J. Johnson, who is currently starring on UPN's 'Southbeach'. The film was directed by John Bruno and produced by Troy Senkiewicz and Josh Newell. Check back in soon for screening info and music from the film.
KIP BLACKSHIRE:
Recording artist Kip Blackshire (formerly with Prince) has just released his first cd. Karl arranged and recorded all of the strings for the album and looks forward to future collaborations with Kip, who is an amazing talent. Check out Kip's great website to hear some of the songs and get info on his upcoming tour:

SSTV:
Karl is currently working on a pilot for Disney entitled SSTV, which is a health show for kids. SSTV will also be used as an educational tool by schools nationwide.
I AM STAMOS:
'I AM STAMOS' has just been accepted to the Spudfest film festival, which is August 4th-7th in the beautiful Grand Teton mountain range in Idaho.
SPYMASTER:
Karl's exciting reality series 'SPYMASTER' just wrapped up it's first season here in the U.S. on TLC. Check out the 'Listen' page on this site to hear some of Karl's music from the show!
I AM STAMOS:
'I AM STAMOS' saw it's L.A. premiere on April 27th in Hollywood - both screenings were packed and a third had to be added. The film also recently won the audience award at the Gen Arts Film Festival in New York. Also screening was Brad Abelson's hilarious short 'SAVE VIRGIL'.
Karl actually had some involvement on this film as well, having co-written the end credits song with rap star Young MC.
